Alright this is my guide to getting 30/50 HoM points. You should be able to get up to 20/50 simply by finishing storylines and quests, without having to spend a single cent, but following that you would need about 500k gold to get up to 30 HoM points.
Take note that this guide focuses more on obtaining gold to buy points rather than grinding titles, and the reason for that is simple:
1) Titles have a very poor ratio of titles to HoM points. With the exception of the first 5, you're required to do 5 titles to obtain a measly 1 point. I simply do not think it's worth the effort if you're only looking for quick points.
2) Most titles are extremely long and hard and require lots of time. I feel the time is much better spent farming for gold to obtain other points.
Now that that's been settled, we'll start:
[3] 3 - Accounts Linked
This 3 points is given automatically and you don't need to do anything. But here's some starter's advice: Start out with Nightfall because you level up relatively quickly, plus you obtain heroes in Nightfall which are much better than henchmen.
[5] 2 - Any Statue Eternal Hero of <Anything>
Just finish up 1 campaign, not too important which one it is since we'll be finishing all of them anyway. Personally I finished Nightfall first as I had progressed the furthest here as I started out here, plus finishing it allows me to obtain the hero Razah.
[8] 3 - 5 Statues (Full Display) Eternal Hero of Elona
Eternal Protector of Elona
Eternal Hero of Cantha
Eternal Protector of Cantha
Eternal Hero of Tyria
Finish up all 3 campaigns, and complete all secondary objectives for at least 2 of them. Try to finish up the secondary objective when running through the mission the first time so you won't have to repeat it twice. I went with Cantha (due to it having the least missions) and Elona, as I felt the secondary objectives for Tyria were far too troublesome to complete.
[10] 1 - Any Pet Statue
1 - Any Rare Pet Statue Black Moa
The Black Moa is relatively easy to obtain. Just pick up the quest from Cantha then charm it. It should be level 20 when you obtain it so you can just toss it into your HoM immediately after capturing it.
We'll be getting an Oppressor weapon. It can be obtained by finishing the War in Kryta storyline.
Finish up Eye of the North to get all our tapestries, and when we're done with that we can finish up War in Kryta to get an Opressor Weapon. Try to finish the bounty missions in Hard Mode so that we'll get enough War Medals (we need 10) to exchange for the weapon. Once we get it we can toss it into our HoM for another 2 points.
From here on we'll have to repeat a couple of challenges to obtain some items. It may look a bit intimidating at first, but it's really not that hard. Let's break down the steps needed:
- Create a PvP Ranger, go to the Zaishen Meingerie and dump your pet there. Following that, log back into your main and charm the animal, then put it into your HoM.
- Capture the Imperial Phoenix from palace that you're teleported to after finishing Factions. After that, Death Level it up to level 20.
- Run Dajkah Inet until you get 5 armour pieces. I finished this relatively quickly, in about 3 or 4 rounds.
- Run Remains of Sahlahja until you get 5 armour pieces. Personally I got 2 and then I gave up and bought the remaining 2.
- Run The Shadow Nexus until you get 5 armour pieces. I ran this 5 times and only got 1 piece so I gave up and bought the remaining 4.
- Run Glint's Challenge until you get 10 armour pieces. Personally I loved this the most because you're guranteed a drop whenever you complete it. Difficulty is a bit hard but should be managable with a 7 hero party.
- Capture the Black Widow Spider from the Underworld. You may need to find someone to help you capture it. Guide can be found here.
Now, everything from here on is going to cost gold, so it's just a matter of finding the most cost efficient points. Just a guideline, you're going to need about 500k gold to bring yourself up to 30 HoM points.
I have done the math. Unless you rather spend your time grinding titles, these are the cheapest points to get.
1 Rare Minature statue should cost you about 40k gold. Try to buy 8 Year 1 & Year 2 white miniatures, along with 2 more Year 3 white miniatures. This should set you back about another 80k
In case you're lost, the value of miniatures depends on two things. Rarity (White, Purple, Gold, Green), and the year which it was released. Miniatures get more expensive as the rarity and year increases. Just pick out the cheapest 20 to buy.
Silmar Alech has a nice rough price guide here on miniatures.
If you're unsure which Miniatures to buy, check out the Wiki.
[26] 1 - Any Armour Statue (0)
1 - Kurzick or Luxon Armour Statue (100k) Average: 50k / point
We'll need to craft either a Luxon or Kurzick armour for this. I did Luxon as it was cheaper. Crafting costs add up to about 100k. You get 2 points for this, so it adds up to about 50k per point.
[29] 1 - 3 Armour Statues (80k)
2 - 5 Armour Statues (80k) Average - 53k / point
Craft 4 more armours. Preferbly the EotN ones and the Nightfall ones (Premival or Ancient) as these are the cheapest and only cost 40k each. Adds up to about 53k gold per point on average.
[30] For the final point, we have several different ways that we can obtain it.
30 Minature Statues (110k)
Buy 10 more of the cheapest miniatures. Costs roughly 110k in gold.
7 Armour Statues (100k)
Buy 2 more armours. Costs roughly 100k in gold if you buy a 40k and a 60k armour
10 Statues (Finish 5 Elite Dungeons)
Obtain another 5 more statues. Easiest 5 would be 5 of the dungeon statues.
5 Weapon Statues (120k)
Buy 3 more Destroyer weapons which cost about 120k gold
30 isn't enough for you and you wanna go higher? These are the remainder of points in terms of cost effectiveness:
1 - 7 Armour Statues Average: 100k / point
We need to get 2 more armour statues. The cheapest way would be to purchase one 40k armour, and one 60k armour. If you're planning buy Vabbian armour and Obsidian armour you can simply buy those instead. For simplicity's sake I'll just calculate this as 40k + 60k = 100k.
1 - 30 Miniature Statues Average: 110k / point
We need to buy 10 more miniatures.
1 - 5 Weapon Statues Average: 120k / point
Craft 3 more Destroyer weapons. Total cost: 120k
2 - 11 Weapon Statues Average: 120k / point
Craft 6 more Destroyer weapons. Total cost: 240k
1 - Tormented Weapon Statue Average: 160k / point
Players can obtain a Tormented weapon from completing various quests in the Domain of Anguish, or you can simply buy it for about 160k gold.
1 - 15 Weapon Statues Average: 200k / point
We already have 1 Oppressor, 1 Tormented, and 10 Destroyer weapons. We need 3 more weapons. The cheapest 3 to obtain would be 3 more Oppressor weapons, which costs about 200k.
1 - 40 Miniature Statues Average: 200k / point
We need to buy 10 more miniatures.
1 - Vabbian Armour Statue Average: 260k / point
Vabbian Armour costs about 320k to craft. However since we've already done the calculations for a 60k armor as part of the '7 Armor Statues' earlier, we can deduct off 60k from the estimate.
1 - 50 Armour Statues Average: 285k / point
We need to buy 10 more miniatures.
3 - Any PvP Statue Average: 400k / point
Statue can be obtaining by using 200 Zaishen Keys. These Zaishen Keys sell for about 6k each, totalling up to about 1.2 million gold.
Now, some of you are going to have trouble scraping up 500k to achieve 30 HoM points. Here are some ways to earn money:
50 Free Tournament Points
Every account is entitled to 50 free tournament points. Simply head down to the Great Temple of Balthazar and speak to High Priest Zhang to obtain your free 50 points, then speak to Tolkano to exchange them for 10 keys. These 10 keys can be sold for about 55k to 60k to other players.
Identify items before selling
Identifying items raises the value of the item slightly, allowing you to fetch a higher price from the merchants. It's not much, but every little bit counts.
Sell off unidentified Golds
Keep all Gold items that you find and do not identify them. They can be sold off to other players for about 700g, or 5k / 7 golds.
Black & White Dyes
Keep all the Black and White dyes that you find and sell them off to other players.
Lockpicks
Lockpicks can be sold for at least 1k gold each. Keep all lockpicks that you find then sell it off to a player.
Farm War Supplies
Farm war supplies, either from doing War in Kryta bounties or by repeating Keiran Thackeray's missions in Hearts of the North. Repeating 'Auspicious Beginnings' or 'Rise' is a fairly decent way to earn gold, as you get 1k gold and 5 war supplies for completing the mission. Furthermore, as you're the only person in the party, you get lots of loot per round.
Collect 250 war supplies and they can be sold for 60k.
Farm hero armour upgrades
If you're good at any of the hero armour challenge missions, then you can continuously farm those missions for hero armours, then sell them off to players for gold.
